Sometimes, I find myself a fan of Broad-Sweeping Statements...
e.g
the other day I bought ALL the rice out of our food co-op...I apologised with:
Sorry, I can't help it! I'm Asian. I NEED my Rice!!!
The other broad-sweeping statement for the week was (to a friend)...
How can you NOT like Vegemite?!! You're SO Not An Aussie!
THE GO-BETWEENS/The Clarke Sisters(Live)

OH. MY. GOD. WHERE...HAVE I BEEEEEEEEEEEEEN??!! Somehow in the last few
years a whole heap of The Go-Betweens stuff has finally emerged on Youtube.

I am a broad statement maker too. It's OK, it just gets your point across better and makes people know you mean business!
Email coming soon I promise
But sweeping statements are so USEFUL, especially in arguments - 'You're ALWAYS late' and 'You NEVER put the loo seat down' (That one aimed at long-suffering partner!)
My husband is Asian...the first time I made him rice it was Uncle Ben's with butter. The relationship almost ended. I now have a lovely rice cooker and make him perfect rice every night like a good little wife :) He prefers the calrose variety. What's with you guys and the rice?
