Pingu is the best
oh that is interesting (now that I actually read the post).. I still like Pingu.
But Cody and I do like Miyazaki's work. Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite, I think (loved it enough to read the book. and I loved the book). That's saying a lot - b/c it is very difficult to find anything (book) to hold my attention enough for me to read it all the way through at all. I loved that story.
And we like the Japanese track tons better than the English one (I don't know why anyone watches dubbed tracks - even when they're good. I still think they're never as good as the original). I'll have to see what Cody thinks of this new film.
I don't know this cartoon but while in Japan my children and I watched a great cartoon every morning. It was in Japanese so we could'nt understand the words but we could still unerstand the great stories.
PINGU is a claymation! if we're talking Claymation I still love Wallace and Gromit and Harvie Krumpet- you gotta see the latter...you would seriously appreciate it!
I loved Howl's too but Ponyo is totally up there- completely different though- probably more consumable by the mainstream than Howl's.
