It is not necessary to spend $300 or more to go get your adrenalin rush.
Every week, my heart starts palpitating, my stomach gets knotted and beads of sweat start forming on every conceivable pore: the feeling of FEAR sets in...
and the best part? It's all FREE!
What am I talking about?
Acupuncture clinical practicum of course!
Amateurs with dubious needling technique wield rough and cheap needles in almost every conceivable bodily crevice.
Each week all our pain thresholds get tested and the sense of danger is all too present as vulnerable little compulsory guinea pigs...especially when a certain needs-to-dig-for-gold teacher gets his hands on the needle... in this case, even the biggest, boldest most macho man is not spared the shame of displaying tangible fear- with very loud expletives known to emit from mouths!
For the amateur practitioner there is also a very real danger of being kicked in the face if you hit something sensitive like a nerve, tendon or bone.
oh, too fun :P
p.s for more fun stories check out my tcmstudentlog - the posts just got more interesting...

Your post made me chuckle this morning! I've been a volunteer for hairdressers, reflexologists and even osteopaths - but you wouldn't see me stepping up to be an acupuncturist's 'learning' cushion (!) I had some acupuncture a while back and sometimes it would really hurt. But the acupuncturist would just gleefully say that the pain meant that the needle must be in the right place! They are teaching you how to torture people (!) - and weirdly the people come back for more...!
I think I'll stick with the regular adrenalin outlets thanks! Although it would be fun to watch others go through it!
WEENIES!!!!
and with that, I'm off for more Sadomasochism attempting to bend my body into all manner of impossible poses for the purpose of nurturing mind body spirit a.k.a. yoga! LOL
You got another blog? How many do you have?
You are very brave!!!!
I might do it. The price is right!
Ive always wanted to try it but never had a reason to.
Oh my, how I would love to be a fly on the wall... I would love to try it but NEVER w/ amateurs!
I'll have all of you know I've been told by various guinea pigs I'm pretty good(!!) (i.e I cause minimal discomfort and get effect!)
In any case I realise there are certain things I need to adjust to target the western Weenie market...like using expensive smooth glide japanese needles and doing laser...anyhow if any of you ever end up visiting I'll give you a free "treatment"! hehe ;) ...that was an evil wink.
To answer your question...
A s'mores is a treat generally consumed at cap while sitting around the campfire.
You roast a marshmallow and put it on a piece of chocolate (usually a piece of a hershey bar) and place it between two graham crackers. The hot marshmallow melts the chocolate and it is one big gooey, melty mess.
RYC (regarding your comment...if you didnt know the acronym):
Sure life ain't as exciting as yours, but there's always an end goal in mind. Sometimes you have to give up short term pleasure for long term pleasure...capish? :P
As for me...i'm awake and its 5:30am hahahaha! And I feel like i've had the best sleep...no needles needed for me woohoo :)
