So exhausted- I'm kinda wagging cos I just really needed some consecutive Me Time as not only am I physically tired but I'm sick of sneaking "me time" into all the little in-between moments of spare time. I know I'll feel guilty later but right now my body is firmly plonked in my nice warm comfy bed :)
Very busy couple of nights and days ahead so the vote is in...and I'm sensibly getting rest while I can.

You are right when you say all therapists should have therapists. You need to arrange to have some pampering/relaxing treatment yourself. It is mandatory. I think you mentioned in another post that you have done Reiki I. Do you belong to a reiki sharing group? If not, maybe seek one out through whoever initiated you. This is where you meet up and give and RECEIVE reiki and all for free. Meanwhile rest up and take it easy.
good point- i thought of this and have wanted to do this for ages but can't find one local here that will let me join for free without doing another$400 certificate!! my initiator - terribly wise soul- is not in the city...it'll be easy once I move to a hippie town :)
Amen on the 'therapists need therapists.' That is very true (a fundamental principle to arrange for yourself and follow if you're going to have any success in your field long-term). I often wonder if I was a drain on the person we saw for a while. Can't imagine how I wouldn't have been (but who knows - maybe I'm just flattering myself). Nah.
As I've read up on this kind of thing the past year or so, I've come to appreciate just how much she was willing to give us (time, energy, and so on). I don't know that I took it for granted, but I'm sure I didn't know the value of it so much at the time. I really kind of feel sorry for Acupuncturists. It's a lot of work running one's own business (which is often what has to end up happening). And then deciding how much to charge, and finding/keeping clients, and so on and so forth.
What a lot of work. And then, as you said, it's a lot of giving (on one level or another). All the more reason for me to stick with Algebra. ;-) (tutor students).
