What is it...Exactly?

Okay testament to my impeccable ;) drawing skills...lucky for you I'm not going to make you try and guess what above is...because honestly you'd be here till the writing on your tombstone has long faded!

Above is...a very minimalistic version of a visitor who dropped into my bathroom a couple of days ago unannounced. A HUUUUUGE grasshoppy/cricket thing! When I first saw him I screamed...and screamed again and debated whether I was hopeless enough to ask if my neighbour could come remove him for me...but the Ego firmly said "No"...I don't need a man! LOL. 4 days later and I've grown accustomed to Mr Grasshopper and it's like we're old mates...

This morning he was hiding in...the toilet roll which is how the "picture" above came about. I've realised Mr Grasshopper is good at hiding but those telltale super long antennae always give him away!
In any case I see Doom in store for Mr Grasshopper when my mother comes round tomorrow...she's a real terminator! I have tried to rescue my long antennaed friend however with his jittery nature he kept hopping away and making me scream more. I then tried to Dyson him into the vacuum cleaner but alas a Dyson is no match for his sticky feet...

I've never had a Grasshopper thing come into my house before ever...and I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how to get them out in a humane way...if you have any ideas please let me know cos Mr Grasshopper's clock is definitely ticking!

poor grasshopper! Don't let mom kill him. Take a cup and a piece of paper. Place the cup over him and slide the paper under the cup and carry him outside. I would pick him up for you if I were there. Grasshoppers dont bug me but if it were a spider it would be a different story

Oh gosh...I usually take a glass put it over the bug, then slip a piece of paper between the floor and glass...then carry the critter out. Good luck with that :)

BTW...totally LOVING your photo blog! I actually just signed up with them as I like the lay out and larger sized photos. However...it takes forever to upload my photos :(

aiyaiyai *sigh* hopefully his doom wasn't in vain- now I realise you could probably use a foam cup-his antenna kept poking out though didn't know if I would end up chopping them but in any case he was on the walls so not sure if paper and cup would have worked...he was honestly huge.

Strange you North Americans are so civilised - everybody here I know squishes bugs- maybe I could also invest in a bug catcher- I just hope no more come in. I think the best way would have been to pick him up with my fingers but he probably would have hopped away and in any case I'm too mental about bugs to be able to do it.

Caroline...you think it takes YOU ages to upload photos? Your net speeds are lightyears in front of ours! LOL when you started putting all your photos and glog etc my net just freezes up! Hence why I am so lazy to upload photos too.

I am against killing even bugs...unless they are extra icky!

When I was little I squished a lightening bug by accident and I felt guilty for days
