I spent 2 hours walking around in circles yesterday...and another three recovering from the sheer exhaustion it left me with!
You could say the monotony of the physical part of it felt like some kind of Oriental Deportment Class - "Natural" Tai Chi Karate Kid style with a Master...Very Very interesting based on the premise that you use your mind to manipulate the qi which in turn moves the blood...definitely not easy to do compared to the reverse I am used to e.g yoga where you can move the qi physically by way of exercises and breathing.
Got my brain ticking for sure but one of the more interesting sentiments the session left me with...
"if you are always working in a direction opposite to that which you truly desire, are you not in fact causing suffering?"

Ah Miyagi. We had our encounters back in the day. He was a champion I was just a mean old grouch and I came upon him aboard the good ship Tarimasu.
He had been hired on as the head cook and I a helper. The pots. It was at the pots that I broke. Soap on and soap off, he would say then he would light a cigarette, yes he smoked, and I would do all of the pots, then each disk, Soap on and soap off, then each spoon, soap on and soap off. I broke but I held myself in reserve.
Then on the Tarimasu, on a tramp run to Perth, I made my play. I cannot say that I recall what happened, but let me say this about old Miyagi. Soap on soap off is very much like stroke one stroke two. I was able to Swim to Perth with few incidents with sharks that aided my speed strokes.
I will get Miyagi one day. This I swear.
