Buzz Day!

I was told Buzz Day(for Diabetes) has existed for at least 10 years but somehow I never knew about it...not like Daffodil Day(for Cancer) and Red Nose Day(for SIDS) and Genes for Jeans Day(for genetic disease).

In any case, I think this means the marketing people haven't been very effective, which is a shame considering how prevalent it is, how many people die from it and what a huge public health burden it is.
In any case I liked my little Bee...

how very cute =D
except it's sort of ruined by the every disease gets a day (that's kind of stupid)
sorry. does anyone else think it's lame?
I must be a dork.

VERY cute Bee, though.

a holiday for every disease. for every difference. for every this for every that. My gosh - it's impossible to keep track of all of them - so if there are SO Many of them, it's like the one doesn't mean anything. ..
Here we are - it's colon cancer day today. heheeheh

oh but the point is to raise awareness AND raise money, so of course every disease needs its day!!! (btw if every disease had an attached HOLIDAY, man, that would be something!!!)

re: Be Calm
I love it ;D I am guessing that's the same point I'm hitting with my own treatments. OH - and my current acupuncturist uses that one (I'm pretty sure it's the same one) for me all the time. AND, that's right about when I stop talking (she hits that point and my conversation is done).
kinda interesting (it's almost frustrating b/c I'm then torn between relaxing (give in and enjoy it) and talking - and you know how I love to talk to acupuncturists). So it's funny to go in and want to have a wonderful conversation and end up too relaxed to even talk.
speaking of which, time for bed.
ciao ;)

I like talk like a pirate day (yesterday) but it's not attached to a disease...maybe scurvy day?
