Brantdner? Yes Please!

My mum was pretty hip and fashionable in her time. (Yeah well so would I be if I personally had my clothes designed by me and made by a tailor!) LOL but no seriously...my mum's coolest thing in her later years has been to get me into watching INSPECTOR REX.

My German friend keeps telling me everytime I whinge of living in an uncivilised cultural vacuum to
"Come Live in Germany!"

My latest response was along the lines of "Find & send over a Brandtner then we'll see". LOL!

I also looooove the Rex dog(s) in that particular series!!

So anyway since I made my Please Santa, Send me a German post, lo and behold in my daily business I actually found a bonafide one so I've enjoyed the non brain dead chats! Not only that but a Bonafide Dutch too- what a relief from the locals(except my neighbour-my neighbour is cooool)! I looooove REAL Europeans, conversations with Europeans keep me sane cos they remind me that humans yield from my same galaxy...having said that I'm still optimistically hoping to find a cool local apart from my neighbour...

Apart from the excitement of having had two REAL & Australian based Europeans to talk to, I'm completely bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6am in the morning and felt awake all night-Yikes! I guess that's what you get when you consume 7 X 63% dark chocolate covered Macadamias right before bed...Practitioners don't always practise what they advise patients....shhhhh!

LOL that one line had me grinning all evening and probably will do for the entire week if not month for that matter! :D

In that one line, that girl who had the GUTS to say what I've been feeling the entire month, lol, totally won my respect and admiration. Of course though I just couldn't yell that in public-just not my style- in my imagination though that one line wouldn't be half as satisfying as what I would REALLY like to do...which is to DAK these losers in public-LOL, who said I wasn't an Aussie! ;)

So anyway to backtrack a bit- I was at the train station when this bleach blonde hair almost down to ass chick in hot pink 3 inch stilettos and ginormous boobs falling out of her top walked past with two friends...right in front of me they passed two local lout boys walking in the opposite direction who obviously gave them some lewd comment...the hot pink chick's friend turned around and said that magic line of which this post gets it's beaut title :)

Like Oprah(?) would say..."You Go Girl!" I thought...hehehehe

After she said that you heard a low oooouch emitted by the lout boys probably thinking "Bitch slap!" Well they deserved it :p There you have it: To the vast majority of the Australian male population between the ages of 25-40, local women across the entire spectrum...from the cultured intellectuals who don't want your attention to the boob popping ones that do: the Message is LOUD AND CLEAR...Go Get some Basic Manners!

So that was very satisfying moment no1, courtesy of a stranger. Second great moment courtesy of a stranger was a little boy I overheard complaining in accordance with the season..."That CHOCOLATE is Giving me a HOT Belly!"...just the way he said it...was sooo funny and pretty cute I admit, LOL.

Had some pretty satisfying and interesting conversations with random peeps today actually...I'm actually not bad at having conversations with randoms I realised ^^, actually quite enjoy these one off chats :)

One chick I randomly started chatting with on the train was really cool and the twist we found out right when we parted was that her family friend was actually my very next door neighbour which was pretty coincidental! Also had great chats with two more old men, eg: above 50. From all the random old men I manage to have encountered in real life the past few months I conclude Pisceans are the Scorpio Girl's Natural-est Soulmate :D however I never ever meet them in my normal social circle...actually I rarely ever meet the TRULY interesting people in my normal social circle, lol....wonder why is that!

The other fun part of my day was visiting an ALDI for just about the first time. Inspired by my German girlfriend who thought it was absolutely scandalous I was not well acquainted with German chocolate, I went on a mission and carefully inspected just about every single German chocolate they had there and bought one product from each different label to try...HAPPY sickeningly sweet Easter to ME! *LOL

Okay that's about all folks, have a great holiday break and don't forget the True significance of the season(And if you have no idea go watch The Passion of The Christ-trust me you CAN'T forget after that(!!!)

3,2,1...Berk!!!

It's 1.58am and I am all dopey-eyed cos I was so exhausted I crashed into bed at 9:10pm then my innate little "gross, you haven't brushed your teeth" sentient being made me wake up to rectify the situation...feeling especially guilty after consuming loads of my latest junkfood discovery...IKEA chocolate!! [100g of bonafide made in Germany chocolate for $1!!! It's pretty damn good (and oh so affordable :) ]

In any case then I felt extra guilty about not having drunken any of the health giving herbal brew I spent ages boiling up....three days ago!!! So I spent the last hour laboriously trying to down <200ml of the Black Stuff!

Overzealous Needle Maniac E also subjected me to 13 needles on Wednesday- actually she was trying to bully me into 16 (but with the help of limited time available) I was able to draw the line. Honestly, I felt quite drained after...I am very much of the belief that being a human pin cushion is not necessary. I really don't agree with the western medicine style approach where a needle becomes like a drug targeting each specific symptom...I think acupuncture should stick to its holistic approach and amount of needles be considered very carefully so that the treatment is a harmonious and potent combination that works together seamlessly to target the whole....in my view less is more.

Apart from that, I also ended up with a painfully blue tempular bruise where she punctured my vein :p (however it is recovering nicely with magical Chinese liniment ZHENG GU SHUI which is a must have for every martial arts enthusiast or anybody that is subject to a lot of bumps and bruises and broken bones).

I am not looking forward to later today when I subject myself to more random guinea pigging to more Gungho amateurs...and this class is reputed for one thing....FIRE NEEDLES!

I think I'll have to pass...no thanks - Call me sensitive...Some of us just scar and feel pain more easily than others :(

No Spring Chicken!

eh, I'm still tiiired so just some dot points:

I had this amazingly aromatic Polish Bison Grass Żubrówka Vodka from Bialystock (I got my cheap thrills just from the name being the same as Max Bialystock in "The Producers" which I was fortunate enough to see on Broadway in NYC :)

In any case the aftertaste overwhelmingly reminded me of acupuncture swabs and later on. my stomach lining felt like it was eroding so lucky I had some boiled potatoes and milk in the fridge to help reline my stomach!

I discovered the most delicious drink ever -from Sweden :) - Kobbarbergs Pear Cider. Now I really need to get to Ikea so that I can load up on more of that and try some of that Marabou.
Chocolate speaking I'm still liking Italian made UK brand Green and Black's, Dutch Droste and my latest discovery German Ritter. Wow who knew there were such interesting stories behind chocolate bars...

I got to fly my first remote control helicopter- it was a lot more skill intensive than I thought- anyway I'm glad that even though I crashed it it still managed to survive for another life LOL

Anyway Big Thanks to P who played host and even managed to cough up a very impressive home made roast which was great considering the incredibly wet and wintry weather we've had all week!

Hope you had a Fun "VD"! Lol, before when I thought of Valentine's Day, tacky commercial cringeworthy red hearts and red roses would come to mind...now though S has given me this new abbreviated "VD" perspective so first and foremost another kind of VD comes to mind...LOL!

In any case I was intrigued to find out that in some parts of the world the 14th of February is also known as St Triphun's Day = Drunkards Day...LOL

A Berry Indulgent Day

It's been so hot lately, I've been neglecting proper diet the past couple of days primarily surviving on my addiction to Red Rock's Honey Mustard Kettle Chips and fruit.

I'm pretty ashamed of myself actually for being so lazy and unhealthy. So today when I went grocery shopping I went all out at the greengrocer's...buying an assortment of fresh vegetables, fruits and berries as above. The little red ones are actually "blackcurrant grapes" I have never seen them and didn't know if they were actually fresh blackcurrants or not which is why I thought I'd get them to try- eh, in the end they just tasted like little red grapes but cost about 3X more!

I didn't get out of the grocer's unscathed of junk though...feeling in a food indulgent mood, I ended up spending $10 on 300g of chocolate which on retrospect is quite a bit for one's everyday eating! (Especially since I still have Cote D'or and Lindt sitting around untouched...) I guess I'm still "researching" European chocolate to find out which one I like best with a view to being able to buy and consume only small quantities of high quality chocolate in the future...

Here we have German Ritter with whole hazelnuts, Dutch Droste orange and Madagascan cocoa pastilles. The only normal one left I need to "research" is the Swedish Marabou.

I'm actually going to cook properly tonight to make amends for all the junk eating...I'm feeling like ASIAN food and RICE so this is what I'm toying with in my head...Clay Pot Rice with pork mince, snake beans, black bean sauce, ginger, Chinese wine, swiss brown mushrooms and maybe a few ground dried shrimp....Mmmmm sounds good to me!

On another note sure enough I had another "triple number" moment today...but in relation to someone else(by accident)...I really think being attuned to reiki must open some kind of "psychic door" to an alternate consciousness...this last year or so has just been way too interesting!

Synchronicity and Italian Chocolate...

LOOOVE Italian leather, Italian shoes...but most of all, Italian...CHOCOLATE!! (the only one I feel comfortable splurging on too LOL)

Anyhow it was funny, was discussing favourite chocolate with a fellow gourmand and I was telling her about this Italian (can get from Rome airport) chocolate called NOVI which I really like...

Fast forward...I was bad and just opened a new bar of reasonably pricey but still-from-supermarket chocolate I got on sale...Green & Blacks(organic)...

With that first mouthful.....Yuuuuuum...instant recognition! I flipped the bar over and sure enough...in fine print..."Made in Italy"! I don't know what it is but I just like the way they make chocolate...I'd have to say the worst, worst chocolate award has to go to the Americans...I think I tried some of their "best" stuff in some wanky department store in NYC...and...honestly, it was pretty bad. I don't rate their every day stuff like HERSHEY's either but to each her own- I know lots of people that love Peanut Butter Cups!?

Another supermarket chocolate I like is Whittaker's of New Zealand....specifically their milk and macadamia is really, really good! Unfortunately this is the only flavour they don't export here...*sigh*

As for Aussie stuff, Haighs plain chocolate which started in Adelaide is not bad either. I've found some really great little handmade chocolate stores in regional areas the best and most memorable so far due to the freshness was the handmade Belgian treats at the Chocolate Mill near Daylesford in Victoria....one of my favourite regions in this big brown land...I'd love to live there one day :-)!

Anycase I really shouldn't be eating chocolate so I figure I'll just eat tiny amounts and only get really good quality stuff...

Anyway I can't believe I got through an arts degree and intro to psychology without being aware of the Jungian term of Synchronicity until recently- this is so, so me- wow I had no idea it had a name!
