Dirty Pretty Things

I really liked this movie. I think it's good for idealists to see these kinds of "reality" movies...cos in lucky progressive countries we often forget what SOME people are having to go through. I'm so sick of really heavy negative people though....even lucky countries are full of broken people with heaps of issues. Maybe it's escapist or maybe I've indulged too much of it already, but I 'm tired of these kinds of people...so I happily avoid them...maybe I do prefer the people who save you the hassle and at least act cheerful no matter what!

I especially liked the opening instrumentals and the credits song...

The Little Prince

Mata Hari, you understood me best when you said I am the Little Prince.

On my lone asteroid, my heart-filled happiness springs from one red flower and a pet sheep of my own creation...occasional light hearted chuckles inspired by quirky offbeat things like funny looking lantern bearers.

There are few other visitors or inhabitants, the nearest many lights years of constellation away.

I find myself The Little Prince, always at a distance from the real world. The decrepitude of modern society insults my incredibly child-like idealism where I want to know a world full of rainbows and sunshine, pots of gold and angels with fluffy white wings and unattainable perfection. Instead I find myself looking around desperately for some noise-insulating earmuffs to accessorise the dark shades that often happily shelter my eyes. I guess it is like how some adults choose not to watch the news or read the papers. Perhaps it was borne of watching a minimum three news bulletins a day from as young as I can remember.

No wonder I spend so much time immersed in music, with nature, and feel this urgent spiritual hunger. And no wonder I must be the Hermit and limit my interactions with others since this is that which guaranteed, constantly loves to uproot my sense of peace.

Astrological Transits...what a week!

okay so I got inundated this week...seven postcards, 1 package(thanks S!), 2 new random people contact me and 3 blasts from the past!! weiiiiird.

and I didn't do anything different. no wonder i'm such a believer.

my friend reckons i believe in "hocus pocus" too much. we were talking about that whole romantic concept "when you know you just know" - she was telling me as usual that I'm being idealistic blah blah blah but I know sooooo many people who have met their significant others in magically mysterious ways and it confirmed my suspicion when I asked "well...how did your mum and dad get together then?" which was totally ironic because she said when her dad saw her mum on the street HE JUST KNEW. totally confirms my "hocus pocus" theory...

LIKE I SAID.

once you truly believe I think you always go on believing....

By the way HAPPY OLYMPICS- enjoy!!! I think this will be the first time I won't be tuning in religiously....No Time :-P
