I need new Distractions!

I have a severe case of post holiday blues...suddenly I have loads of spare time on my hands and
I don't know what to do with myself!

And it's coming to Christmas and New Year and everybody is away! Boooored...this city is so uninspiring...I think I will go see Slumdog Millionaire.

edit: entertaining enough- you will enjoy this if you love fairytales, the underdog and a little bit of action/thriller genre. Directed by Danny Boyle of Trainspotting fame.

Come to America and visit me.

That would be fun ; )

Actually, it probably wouldn't be fun.

Or maybe it would be for you since you like small towns and all that.

But we don't have a beach. Small towns with a beach are lovely. Without a beach...they're crap.

thanks for the invite but I'm precoccupied saving for Euros...if I ever master the long haul flying though I could meet you in NYC? LOL

p.s when are you coming...maybe you can visit ME! :)

I am coming, silly. Of course I will visit you.

We'll see about NYC. I really want to go there again.

Do you think it will be a quick stop off or would you actually spend some time there? I was about to say we could go to Australian restaurants together, but I guess that would be pretty stupid for you, lol. I'll wait till you're on the plane and then I'll go by myself.

What parts of Europe do you plan to go to?

oh I can stay in NYC- I have a prime piece of real estate at my disposal- ie my own room on the upper west side :)! (just have to brave the long haul flying issues...:P)

actually do you know AUSTRALIAN ICE CREAM? i love it but we have ZERO left in Oz(people here have no taste you see they are lured by kitschy brand chains any day to actual quality of product a lot of the time...which means no Australian icecream for me- very sad...so I will definitely make recurrent pit stops there!

I want to do the main cities of western europe bar England(no interest), Scandinavia and Prague...via Japan one way and Hong Kong the other way...I'm not sure how it'll fit in with prac training I'm supposed to do in...China(eek!)I doubt I can travel that long continuously! but yeah we'll come to that bridge once I've saved enough euros...maybe I should ask Santa to send a cash windfall...

NYC has a place called Australian Homemade. http://www.australianhomemade.com/
chocolates_nl.html

It's owned by a company in Europe, but I think it started in Australia? I'm not sure if this would be what you're looking for or not.

That's sad...yet funny that Australia no longer has Australian ice-cream.

Western Europe would be neat.
