Western Medicine is failing us and bugs are getting the better of us :P

Just my thought as it seems almost all the cityslickers I know (who have never been sickly people) seem to be getting ill with that this and the other...

I had a good friend who I haven't literally spoken to in over a YEAR actually call me after sending text messages (the like of which I had never seen from her before) ending in...Help!

Yes it seems that the superbugs are getting the better of us as we step further and further away from our natural selves and the way man was supposed to interact with his environment and each other causing a whole scourge-epidemic of health and other problems never before seen at these kinds of levels...while man disrespects the planet and even his own body like he does the world will continue to spiral in a downward fashion...

Disclaimer...western medicine is commendable on certain aspects eg surgery/emergency medical intervention and equipment mediated diagnosis, medical science gene/cell based therapies, however on the whole they are totally helpless to be able to treat a wide range of health problems seeing as their salve seems to revolve around that zillion dollar pharmaceutical industry which while it may alleviate that pain over there it will create a new pain and disease process somewhere else! And while they fail to recognise the body is a HOLISTIC interactional dynamic of a living thing their medicine will closely resemble a dummy covered in bandaid plasters!

So yeah on the whole isolated and remote country bumpkins should feel pretty damn blessed to enjoy relatively better health cos of their healthy living environs and healthier lifestyle practices! cheers bumpkins! :D

MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!

I had been seeing 333s-3333333s for more than a week everyday, multiple times for a reason...I finally got the message I was supposed to get, hence why I won't be surprised if today when I go out I don't see any 333s!

In any case I had a huge breakthrough with my mysterious crappy health...I read something on Tuesday and yesterday had time to ponder it...I then did an "experiment" made myself SO SICK!!! and then cured myself better....all through food!!!

One step closer...I really think I will nip this in the bud one day soon...I also think I'm going to be able to help a lot of people because of it...it was definitely fated me getting into the healing profession...

I have made two really interesting health discoveries of late...totally tickling the "scientist" and "experimental investigator" in me! But anyway....yeah I don't want to talk too soon so we'll see how it goes over the next couple of months and then maybe all can be revealed!

How I've come to perceive Happiness...

It never ceases to amaze me how people who seemingly have all they could ever want in life (which they are happy with) are still terribly unhappy...

Okay you could summarise it in two words: clinical depression.

Or maybe, maybe it goes like this...

People have expectations and when these are not met, it makes them unhappy.

In any case I am terribly guilty of the "if only I had..." sentiment, then I'd be PERFECTLY HAPPY.

Whether this be money, a partner, kids, or as in my case, *great health*....it doesn't actually equate to happiness...cos somewhere along the line, something else will not meet your hopes and expectations and will make you "not happy". It's an interminable state of affairs...

So this is the way I've come to perceive Happiness...

Basically if your very existence is not in actual jeopardy and you have the essentials necessary to survival eg: food, water, shelter and you're not living in an atmosphere plagued by war, hitmen, massive debts or life-threatening illness...basically, with that criteria...I argue that anything above that should be regarded as "a bonus" so that you should count yourself Happy!

In alternate terms, I guess what I am saying is that our perception needs to change so that we lower our expectations for what we feel we NEED to be happy.

And you need to consciously think about what you are happy for in the present moment...

e.g for me right now I am happy for the Swedish pear cider that sits in a fantastically pleasing wine glass (yes, I AM easy to please), and the spare time and freedom I have with which to sip it at my leisure in the privacy of my own space....in my pyjamas! ;)

Hehe...Happiness then, is forever dynamic and constantly changing, reflected in continual "moments"...

(For the people who are never happy ie those who are clinically depressed, apart from the biomedical view of it being due to chemical imbalance etc...here's an alternative thought...perhaps, it is karmic residue?!)

Or, better put ask yourself...What can I be thankful for and what do I HAVE that makes me Happy? Yes Folks, it's all about keeping that glass half FULL mentality!

Now...Stop whingeing and go back to work!!! (hehe that's what I would usually be saying to myself except for the fact that now I can be a bum as much as I wish...*sigh...now that's what I call SUPER DUPER HAPPINESS!^^ haha)

p.s this is what sounds like sheer happiness to me...

Once you start you just can't stop!

I'm not talking about Pringles...I'm talking about *blog reading* actually LOL

I do miss reading about all your fascinating lives but unfortunately it's having to take a backseat especially for the next 2 weeks where my body is totally snowed under fighting the sickness that is no longer being suppressed/masked by tonic herbs in the goal to be completely healed. I knew that this treatment was somewhat revolutionary but I have to admit that it really packed a punch that I was not quite prepared for!

Hence...in survival mode...having not been able to sleep since Friday is really starting to take it's toll and being able to study let alone concentrate is really, really challenging. Being so tired but being unable to sleep is really some kind of Hell on Earth. I can't take sleeping aids either lest it interfere with my treatment...so when I get a bit desperate I will intervene with a needle or two which means maybe 2 hours of rest but no restful sleep. So really functioning on minimalism and basics...such as now, currently cooking 15 minute backpacker pasta :p

If there's one thing I'd ask for before having to be born here again is to have completely great health for my entire lifetime...otherwise, when it drags out as it has with multiple events, it kind of makes everything suck...

Fingers crossed that this time the sucker's in the bag!

Zhen Lessons in Wisdom: 101

I can't believe it's taken me nearly 28 years to really be able to fully understand and adhere to this Basic Wisdom...I've been Such a Dumb Stupid Ass all these years!

Yesterday after feeling completely buggered for the 2nd day in a row and only having had 4 hours sleep and practically nothing to eat all day, I STILL made myself go to my usual Yoga class...even though I felt like complete shit...cos I had told this new chick last week that I'd be there.

Duh. No surprise that I was so dizzy, weak and unstable with muscles like intractable lead, it was a completely pointless exercise except that the term "death warmed over" came to mind. And...SHE didn't even turn up!

So...It finally hit me how stupid I always am....I've always been SO PREOCCUPIED with being 100 per cent reliable and doing what I say I'll do that I do completely non common sensical things like that...

So anyway after that I felt so crap I went to the nearest store bought dinner but was so tired I couldn't even digest it and it kept all wanting to come up. Then I had to lie down for 3 hours cos I was so exhausted I couldn't even stand up to take a shower.

So...moral of the story:
If your Body Tells you something...Listen To it!
(ESPECIALLY important if you suffer chronic illness but still always push yourself way too hard.)
Also don't be Slaves to Deadlines unless your life depends on it or Overcommit yourself to too many people or too many events and Jampack your schedule to the brim always a month in advance with no leeway for Do Nothing Rest/You time!
Whether it's your gut or your heart or your muscles, LISTEN:
Because Your Body Always Knows Best!

From today onwards this is what I need never forget...hence even though it's 430pm and convention dictates that it's not allowable, I only just reemerged from bed :) having done nothing all day but "recuperate". I feel a whole lot better already and and much more fresh and ready to get started on tackling the final hill before the mountain...

Have a good day...Cheers :)
